Great Day for a Sail

Sailing and dolphins and waves lapping the hull ... wow.

What a great day for a sail!   The forecast called for east winds (on the nose) early, switching to southeast and then south later in the day preceding another cold front forecast for Tuesday.  Timing our departure for mid-high tide to insure no bouncing off the sand going out the shallow channel, we raised the sails and immediately enjoyed the quiet and water lapping at the hull.  Mmmmmmmm….

Early the wind was light and the bow is reflected in the bow wave

Then the wind begins to build ... so why are all the other sailboats motoring?

Finally the wind filled and we were enjoying the great sail we anticipated... 5.1 on the GPS, not bad for our little boat.

Back to the marina and a fresh water rinse for everything.  Then packing for a quick trip to play with our grandsons for a couple of days before returning for more sailing adventures.  How much fun.  Cheers!  Jan
