Hail to Our New Lance 1685 Travel Trailer!

After two days of camping in mostly pouring rain and chilly chilly temps, we decided to up anchor at 38 degrees this morning and head south.  After all, it has to be warmer south, right?

Originally our plan was to camp at Starved Rock State Park, 2 hours south of Chicago.  Nope, still too chilly & still raining… keep going south.

Plan B was Wolf Creek State Park, another couple hours south, but the radar looked threatening even though it was finally above 50 degrees.

So we exercised our prerogative to change our minds and headed back home to camp in the driveway for the next two nights.

Just as we got the camper set up in the driveway, it started hailing….  you can’t make this stuff up….   🙂

HAIL to our new Lance 1685!

Home in the driveway just in time for a hailstorm and deluge flooding the lake.
