Time to Head to the Pool?

Back to the boat means lots of projects.  Luckily this year is much better (knock on teak) than last!  No windlass that needs rebuilding, refrigeration compressor to redo or Pactor III modem needing sent in for diagnosis…   So today, the mainsail goes up … and two reefing lines go in all ready for weather I hope we don’t see this winter…..

The 95% jib goes back on the roller furling …

The 1985 vintage Nanni Kubota 30 hp diesel rumbles to a start settling quickly into its normal purrrrr…..   Nice to see the exhaust water streaming after the diesel was fresh water flushed and shut down for the summer.

As the manatees swam by (we seem to be directly in the daily manatee path both in and out of the marina).  Plus the dolphins spout and frolic — sometimes hard to pay attention to threading the sail leads into the track … I’d rather watch the dolphin (or manatee) show!

And another day comes to a brilliant close ….

And another day comes to a close ...

And another day comes to a close …

Can’t wait until tomorrow!  Cheers!  Jan
