For those that have asked, here’s our “Leave the Boat on the Hard Checklist” – in downloadable PDF format. Out of the 15 years we’ve been commuter cruisers, we’ve only left sv Winterlude for six months on the hard three times. Once in Shelter Bay Marina, Ft Sherman, Panama, a few years ago; two years ago Charlotte Harbor Boat Storage, Placida, FL; and this summer, Marathon Boatyard, Marathon/Keys, FL. Other than that, sv Winterlude is usually in the water while we’re away — for our “Checklist To Leave Boat in the Water” click here.
It’s not quite time for us to leave the boat yet … it’s not consistently warm enough in central Illinois for David to be assured of wearing his shorts … but we know lots of Commuter Cruisers who leave in early April, so…… here’s our free downloadable PDF link:
Checklist to Leave Boat On The Hard
Keep in mind, every cruiser and ever boat is different and requires different maintenance and checklist items. I hope our checklist offers a starting point for you to construct your own checklist.
Comments, input, things you have on your list that I may want to add to ours, please leave a comment and share! THANKS! Jan
