Ever have your wheel autopilot freeze up just when you needed it? Or how about a block refusing to turn when you're trying to reef the mainsail in an unexpected blow? Salt buildup may be the culprit and it's SO easy to make sure it never happens (both these things have happened to us, how do you think we know???) :)
