I am so happy to report there is life after projects! For a while I thought we’d have to motor sail across Charlotte Harbor to the barrier islands. But fate .. otherwise known as Mother Ocean intervened and halfway out the channel we started seeing whitecaps kissing the sun sparkling wave tops.
Sv Winterlude wasted no time reminding us that she’s our first love & flew along under full sail at just under 6 knots with the incoming tide against us. Sadly no dolphins but what a great sail & a great day!
Anchor down, an hour later the dinghy was off the deck in preparation for adventures to come, isinglass sun room zipped into the cockpit enclosure in anticipation of 46 degrees, but sunny in the morning. A fabulous sunset, a bit of wine & a full harvest moon, does life get better?
