Just Another Day at the Beach

Sometimes I get bummed out thinking because we’ve chosen to stay in Florida this winter, that we’re missing out on the exotic fun parts of cruising.  Then I have to remind myself that in some ways we have the best of all worlds.

We love to hike/walk every day, we love beaches and snorkeling.  No snorkeling here, but the beaches have shells.  Something rarely found in the Western Caribbean.  And the beaches stretch for miles… something else rarely found.  Wait!  Maybe I should relax & enjoy where we are instead of yearning for where we’re not.

Catch a wave?
Catch a wave?

With the mild cold front & thunderstorms the night before came larger than normal waves which translates to more stuff washing up on the beach.

Several different than normal shorebirds which makes me wonder do the waves bring more turmoil in the sand stirring up different stuff to eat?  Speaking of eating, gotta go eat breakfast so we can see what today might bring!  Cheers!  Jan
