“Either You Run The Day, Or The Day Runs You!” … Jim Rohn

The cruise lines call it “repositioning”.  For us, it’s the week putting the boat away for the summer or getting it ready to go for six months in the fall.  Either way there’s a week where we work work work.

For our own sanity, even though it can be done in a much shorter time, it’s necessary to remind ourselves to spread it out & have a bit of fun.  So yesterday we took the afternoon off and went up to Venice — one of the places we had planned to hang out for awhile on our aborted cruise north for the month of April.  Earlier this month, life got in the way, but we enjoyed our afternoon yesterday.

3 beaches, 2 jettys, 75 sharks teeth, a couple of photos, a near miss on visiting Clyde Butcher’s Venice Gallery – one of my favorite photographers, if you’re not familiar with Clyde Butcher’s work, click here, and ending the afternoon at the Sleeping Turtle Preserve North, along the scenic Myakka River.  Great day!
